California is a magical place! Still! Here's a little update on what kind of stuff I'm doing in my classes. For character design, we just revised our pirate heads, and made a (somewhat polished) full cast! We moved onto a new project featuring the tale of Baba Yaga, I'll give more info later but here are some character ideas for that...and more oil paintings! First color oil painting in like four/five years. Was sort of terrifying but so much fun!

Paintingsssss!

Hey ya'll oil is fun and hard!

But here's some stuffs! I'll go by order right now, from the beginning of class. I've been taking a Color and Lighting workshop/class and I'm falling in love. I also am a bit concerned with the proportions in these, but I've got ten classes to get better! Update on California: I LOVE IT. (warning: iPhone pics and weird blogger layouting)

Hey guys! I'm in California for the summer and I'm attending Concept Design Academy.... so basically I love everything that has ever existed!!!

I'm taking ZBrush Class, Color & Lighting (figurative oil painting), and Character Design.

I've only had a couple of classes but here's some of my work that I've done:

Summer work!

I've gotten two small commissions this summer and I am really excited about them! 

Exclamation Points!!!

The first was a banner project for my cousin-in-law Tara, for her website Organized SAHM (stay at home Mom). Very glad to have worked with her, it was a different kind of challenge for me. I would not consider myself a graphic designer, but I'd like to be one too!

The second was an anniversary project that my best friend's Dad had me do! I had a very interesting picture to work from, low light, backlit, on the beach, on their wedding day! Real cool.
